Up-cycle Horseshoes

Today my farrier was here, Lance Moore
to trim the girl's hooves.  I found out he has an e-mail but no Blog or website, so I told him I would give him examples of Horse-Shoe Art!

And of course craft ideas!

Great job by the way - he trims like I want it - with a bull nose edge.

With my love for Texas - I saved the best for last! Srcoll down all the way.

My favorite!
My favorite!

The Bride and Groom Horseshoe is really thinking out side the box! d caption

Anyway I wanted to look up horse shoe art - most of it appears to be welded - but I have seen party gifts, kits to make crosses and the like with a simple Google search.

Wire Wrap - Very Nice
perfect for a craft party for kids - HMMM where do they get the shoes?
Now this with a diamond or other stone!
This is giving even me ideas for the horse show at Sun Valley Arabians March 13, 2012.  Now I have a stock of old rusty horse shoes, no nails as I don't shoe my horses.

This by far is a wonderful site so take a look!

I am getting tired of fighting with my picture upload here so will close for now.  Most likely I will go hunting for my extra shoes!  Lance Moore (Farrier) told me that the shoes on the left are very expensive - but it that is what you put on your horse, then you have a supply.

of course as a Texan I really love this site, they have done a super job of crafts!
